Eisenberg Family Home on Kadena Air Force Base

This is our new home on Kadena Air Force base in the Stearley Heights North Terrace area. To most of you that means nothing! After numerous google attempts last night to find this on a map, we gave up, it is actually quite hard to find maps of military base housing!  If you were to look at a map of the base, we are between the Kadena middle school and elementary school, just a few blocks walk to both. On a map you might see a track which is part of the Kadena middle school.
The "D" means that this is part of a duplex or multiple family housing unit. I have heard from others that the walls are constructed very well and most people don't hear their neighbors. I hope that will be the case with us as well! We were offered two homes to look at in the same neighborhood and we actually had a hard time deciding between the two as they had very different floor plans! We decided on this one with a little better using of space and awesome neighbors we met while checking it out, and I've decided to forget about the second house because we can't change now!  The neighbors are in the unit to the right of our house, between the grassy area and have two kids including a 12 year old daughter that loves to babysit!! How perfect for me :)  Mitch is happy to report the husband is a Marine Corps Officer and 1995 Naval Academy Graduate.
Newer looking kitchen with decent appliances, plenty of room for Cooper to dance :)
Downstairs Den with wall for the TV, supposed to arrive September 7th with the rest of the household goods.
Backyard and side yard that will be a perfect place for the kids to play when it gets cooler. No, we are NOT used to the heat and humidity here yet and I'm ready for cooler weather! The kids are having a hard time with the heat too but are very fascinated with the many different bugs here! I suspect lots of outdoor exploring in cooler temperatures.
Mommy and Mackenzie checking out the bedrooms upstairs. Master bedroom right across from the kiddos, might not need a monitor any longer!
View of neighbors and street behind our house
Cooper checking out what will either be his room with Mackenize or their playroom/guest room.

Another view of the kitchen, not bad, lots of storage space and room to move around. Door leads to the den
Cooper has already decided to do some exploring
Another view of the side yard and the "A" is the home of our friendly neighbors/babysitters! She also described that forest looking area as a jungle; not sure what all is in there......will have to get back to you all!
Move in date of next Thursday, August 2nd and will have my express shipment on August 6th. All the other household goods won't be here until September 7th, so I will have to use government loaner furniture until mine arrives. I was hoping to get my stuff before Mitch leaves on August 6th, but at least he can help get us moved into the house before he has to go!
