New Home

Trying to catch up on all the things that have happened since we moved into our home on Kadena Air Force base, here are the photos from our first afternoon/night in our home.
Cooper and Mackenzie were VERY excited about their new water table that we got them to play with in this hot weather.
The military does pack and move us when stationing us all over the world, which is nice, but they don't do it very efficiently! Therefore, we are here in Okinawa, Japan and our things are...........in route!  We were very ready to get out of the small hotel room and were very lucky to be offered new renovated housing quickly.
Below are photos of the furniture that the government supplies while waiting for ours to arrive. What you see in the photos is all that they supply.  So, we have a couch and chairs, with no TV, end tables, with no lamps.
China cabinet without any dishes or serving pieces.  I think it is to just take up space in the house!
 A desk and chair

Dining room table and chairs, which weren't bad, but we bought a new set that was being delivered the next day. Oh yes, they supply this furniture without any regard to what you want or need. It is in the house when you move in, and isn't so easy to get it moved out!
Our master bedroom. No sheets, no pillows, no blanket, etc. Just a hard mattress! Good thing I packed a set of sheets and two of our pillows :)  We have also been to the exchange here multiple times to buy things such as garbage cans, towels, soap, toilet paper, etc.  Ah, the joys of military life.
