Pre-Halloween Fun

Cooper has been very interested in Batman recently, so we got him a costume at the Exchange here on Kadena. We also bought Superman, Belle, and a purple fairy costume. Who knows what they will wear ON Halloween, but we are having fun dressing up before!
Mackenzie enjoyed the plastic bag more than the actual costumes.

Lunch with Dental Department

After a morning of training for a Tsunami, the Naval Hospital Okinawa went to lunch at TiTi CaCa a Peruvian restaurant. Very yummy~

Making New Friends: Emily and Matthew Maury

We met Emily (5) and Matthew (3) on our bike ride yesterday. They moved into a home in the cove behind our house. They borrowed our hose today to use on their AWESOME jump house/water slide! The kids LOVED it!  (View of our backyard through the trees.)
Emily and Matthew's daddy is Mitch like Cooper and Mackenzie's daddy and their mommy, Shannon graduated from the US Naval Academy the year after Mitch!  Funny who you will meet in Okinawa :)

Sunday Fun

They climbed into their toy box to find more toys.
 Ouch!
Just relaxing while mommy works around the house

Reading books. I have been so happy to see them picking up books and trying to read them :) They have been more excited about having their books than their toys, which makes my heart smile.
Mommy has been working on their room. Trying to incorporate things they like and still make it sweet.

Making an art area in the kitchen.
Playground at Kadena Elementary School down from our house. It was HOT so we didn't stay long, but will be back!

 Let's climb this thing Mackenzie!

 Cooling off after the playground.

House Hold Goods Arrive- Finally have our BEDS!

Yeah, the movers left my bedroom without putting my bed together. I wasn't sure how to do it so I called Mitch, we skyped so he could see the bed and he talked me through how to do it. NOT FUN at all putting ALL those screws in WITHOUT a power screw driver. Yes it was worth it to sleep in my bed last night.
Every piece of wood at a screw......took awhile.

My little piece of HEAVEN!
The movers didn't put together the kids cribs either. So after tracking down an allen wrench, I was finally able to get them together, kind of.  Not my best work, and I hope the kids don't jump too much!  I may see if my neighbor can tighten them for me :) Looks pretty good when they were back together!
Mackenzie found her "Tangled" dress and wanted to wear it while looking through her toys in the playroom today.
The den so far, wish I had brought our leather chair and nice bookshelves, but I was weight restricted and didn't know the size of home we would have.
Cooper is FINALLY starting to peddle on his bike! Big Boy! Taking their bikes out for a ride this morning. Lots of sidewalks and neighborhoods to explore.

Cleaning the playroom. What a mess that they kept telling me I made! LOL!
Seriously, do we need more toys!!!!
All clean and toys put away, for now. During their nap today I put together their new kitchen that we won last Christmas from a Twins on-line site :)
Not a bad job if I do say so myself! Second play kitchen I have put together and hope to never have to do one again! Where is daddy when all these things need to be put together??????
